Foundation Program

Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4 PM

The Foundation Program at Pearls Academy is geared towards students who are beginner readers of the Quran. Children start with the Noorani Qaida and memorize short surahs. This program is also for students who are memorizing, but not necessarily the whole Quran. If a student shows interest in memorizing the Quran in its entirety, they can be moved up to the Tahfeedh Program after an assessment.

Tution for this program is a one-time registration fee of $300 and a tuition charge of $650 per month for 10 months.

Tahfeedh Program

Monday – Friday 8 AM – 12 PM

The Tahfeedh Program at Pearls Academy provides an opportunity for students to memorize the Quran in its entirety. Students also cover seerah, fiqh, arabic and tajweed.

This program is available to students from grades 4 - 12 ONLY.

Academics Only

Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4 PM

The Academics Program at Pearls Academy delivers instruction in Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science at elementary and middle school level. The various curricula are state-approved and align with the state standards of learning. Our focus at Pearls Academy is the approach with which we teach the curricula and the age-appropriate and lifelong skills that our students can develop during their school years. We assess according to our school policy and maintain a high standard of communication between the school and the Pearls’ families. A the end of each school year, grades *KG -7 students undertake the CAT (California Achievement Test) test in Math and English in order to submit progress evaluation to the county. Grade 8 students undertake the Iowa Assessments achievement test.

High School students at Pearls Academy attend the accredited K12 online school. A specialized learning coach offers guidance and support to all students in maintaining attendance, completing tasks and assignments, and ensuring that timely progress is made. High school students take the SOLs provided through VAVA (Virginia Virtual Academy).

This program is available to students from grades 4 - 12 ONLY.

*A kindergarten student that has turned 6 years old on or before September 30th of the school year, is required to undertake the CAT test.

Full-Time Tahfeedh and Academics

Monday – Friday 8 AM– 4 PM

The full-time Tahfeedh Program at Pearls Academy provides an opportunity for students to memorize the Quran while keeping up with their academic studies. Students will memorize the Quran and cover seerah, fiqh, Arabic, and tajweed. The goal of this program is to memorize the Quran in its entirety.

Mind N’ Soul

Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4 PM

The Mind n’ Soul program is geared towards enriching the students’ minds and souls. For the mind, the program offers different Islamic subjects such as: Hadith, Fiqh, Seerah, and Tafseer. For the soul, the program pays special attention to the spiritual aspect of the Deen—how to purify the heart and fill it with love for Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. The students will also study the lives and stories of early Muslims not only to attach their hearts to the righteous but also to benefit from their example. Students will learn how to navigate their way through the Islamic Sciences and thus come to appreciate the scholarship, hard work, and classic works of the scholars throughout the ages of Islam. The program aims at graduating students who will stand resilient in the face of today’s trials and tribulations, unshaken by the world’s temptations, proud of their Muslim identity and helpful to others.

Main Focus: Muslim identity, Understanding the Quran and Hadith in Arabic, Love of Allah and his messenger (ﷺ), Love of Knowledge and appreciation of traditional scholarship, Having great Akhlaaq: Helping others/ Respect/ Altruism/ Patience/ Selflessness.

Evening Program

Monday – Thursday 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Number of Students: 10

Course Description: Our After-School Program offers Quran and seerah to students 5-year old and above. We accept students who are able to read the Quran with some fluency. Students will learn to recite with Tajweed and will be trained into memorizing short surahs as well as reviewing old memorization.
The seerah is taught with the aim of deepening the students’ love for Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and grant him peace). There will be two sessions with a ten-minute break in between. Students are required to attend all four days to be able to follow the seerah stories and benefit from them.
The program will be taught by Sheikh Hatim Yousef, and the school will hire more teachers as needed. The teacher/student ratio will be limited to 1/10.
